Patrick Bergin Connaughton ( kon-U-tin; born January 6, 1993) is an American professional basketball and baseball player for the Portland Trail Blazers of the National Basketball Association (NBA). He plays as a shooting guard or small forward in professional basketball and is also a pitcher for the Baltimore Orioles' organization in Minor League Baseball with the Frederick Keys.Connaughton previously played for the Notre Dame Fighting Irish baseball and men's basketball teams. He was selected by the Orioles in the fourth round of the 2014 MLB Draft. The Brooklyn Nets selected him in the second round of the 2015 NBA Draft and traded him to the Portland Trail Blazers.
