Melina Mayorga is a Salvadorian model and beauty pageant contestant who represented El Salvador in Miss Universe 1996, where she finished as sixth-runner up (7th place).Born in San Salvador, her father was a doctor and her mother originated from Venezuela. After graduating from high school, Mayorga became a model for Willie Maldonado in the longest-running TV program in El Salvador, Fin de Semana.
