Michael James Sis (born January 9, 1960) is a Catholic bishop in the United States. He is the sixth bishop of the Diocese of San Angelo in the state of Texas.Michael James Sis was born in Mt. Holly, New Jersey. He was the fourth of five children born to Raymond and Janice Sis. Sis grew up in Bryan, Texas where he attended St. Joseph School and the Bryan Independent School District. He earned a bachelor of arts degree in philosophy from the University of Notre Dame, a bachelor's degree in theology from the Gregorian University in Rome and a licentiate in moral theology from the Alphonsian Academy in Rome.
