Kevin Jeffrey Plawecki (born February 26, 1991) is an American professional baseball catcher for the New York Mets of Major League Baseball (MLB). Prior to his professional career, Plawecki played college baseball for the Purdue Boilermakers of Purdue University. He stands 6'2 inches tall and weighs 225 lbs.Plawecki was born in Hinsdale, Illinois, on February 26, 1991. He attended Westfield High School in Westfield, Indiana, where he played for the school's baseball team. He was named an All-State Class 4A honorable mention at catcher in his senior year.
