José Ramón Leclerc (born December 19, 1993) is a Dominican professional baseball pitcher for the Texas Rangers of Major League Baseball (MLB).Leclerc made the Texas Rangers 2017 Opening Day roster out of Spring Training. He appeared in 10 games before going on the Disabled List May 9, 2017 with a sprained right index finger. Before landing on the Disabled List, Leclerc recorded 18 strikeouts in 11.2 innings pitched. He was eligible to return from the Disabled List on May 18. Leclerc worked as a starting pitcher for the Frisco Roughriders of the Class AA Texas League in 2015. Leclerc joined the Rangers 40-man roster as a relief pitcher after the 2015 season. Leclerc began the 2016 season with Frisco, and received a midseason promotion to the Round Rock Express of the Class AAA Pacific Coast League.
