Gregory Scott Holland (born November 20, 1985) is an American professional baseball pitcher for the Colorado Rockies of Major League Baseball (MLB). He previously played for Kansas City Royals. Holland is a three-time All-Star and won the Mariano Rivera Award in 2014.Prior to being drafted by the Royals in the 10th round of the 2007 amateur draft, the 5'10", 180 pound Holland attended McDowell High School in Marion, North Carolina and then Western Carolina University. While at Western Carolina University, he went 10-12 with a 4.34 ERA from 2005-2007. He was signed by scout Steve Connelly. Wikipedia
