Freundel Jerome Stuart, PC, QC, MP (born 27 April 1951) is the Prime Minister of Barbados. succeeded David Thompson, who died on 23 October 2010 of pancreatic cancer. He is a member of the Democratic Labour Party (DLP).Stuart was born in Saint Philip, Barbados. He is single as of October 2010 and is the father of one daughter.An alumnus of the Christ Church Foundation School, Stuart is a graduate of the University of the West Indies and holds degrees in Political Science and Law.
