Fred P. DuVal (born May 24, 1954) is an American businessman, civic leader, and author. DuVal is the Managing Director of Amicus Investors. He was the unsuccessful Democratic nominee in the 2014 Arizona gubernatorial election.DuVal graduated from Tucson High School. He received a B.A. from Occidental College where he was selected as a Luce Scholar. He received his law degree from Arizona State University.DuVal worked as a senior aide to Arizona Governor Bruce Babbitt from 1980 to 1985. He managed Babbitt’s 1978 gubernatorial campaign and his 1988 presidential campaign.
