David Dean (born February 3, 1964) is an American football coach and former player, currently head coach of the West Georgia Wolves. Dean served as the head football coach at Valdosta State University from 2007 to 2015, compiling a record of 79–27 in nine season. His team won the NCAA Division II Football Championship in 2007 and in 2012.Dean walked onto the Georgia Tech football team in 1982 and earned a scholarship the following year playing through the 1985 as a wide receiver.
