Daniel Steven Straily (born December 1, 1988) is an American professional baseball pitcher for the Miami Marlins of Major League Baseball (MLB). He made his MLB debut with the Oakland Athletics and has also pitched for the Chicago Cubs, Houston Astros, and Cincinnati Reds.Straily was born on December 1, 1988, in Redlands, California, to Sarah Jackson (née Beightler) and Steven Straily. He has an older sister, Larissa. The family moved to Pendleton, Oregon, between kindergarten and first grade. Straily started his baseball career playing Little League Baseball and in the Babe Ruth League in Pendleton, Oregon.
