Colin Bertie John Sutton QPM (6 December 1938 – 26 March 2004) was a British police officer.Sutton was educated at King Edward VI School, Stratford-upon-Avon. In 1957 he joined Warwickshire Constabulary as a Constable. He was promoted Sergeant in 1964, Inspector in 1966, Chief Inspector in 1970, Superintendent in 1972, and Chief Superintendent in 1974. Later that year he transferred to West Midlands Police. In 1977 he was appointed Assistant Chief Constable with Leicestershire Constabulary.
