Christopher Howard Long (born March 28, 1985) is an American football defensive end for the Philadelphia Eagles of the National Football League (NFL). He played college football at Virginia, where he was recognized as a unanimous All-American. He was drafted by the St. Louis Rams as second overall pick in the 2008 NFL Draft. Long has also played for the New England Patriots and won Super Bowl LI as a member of the team. He is the son of NFL Hall of Famer Howie Long.Long was born in Santa Monica, California. He attended St. Anne's-Belfield School in Charlottesville, Virginia. As a senior in 2003, he was in on 91 tackles, 23 tackles for a loss, and 15 sacks helping his team to an undefeated record and the state private-school championship.
