Cédric Ricardo Alves Soares, CvIH, ComM (born 31 August 1991), known simply as Cédric (Portuguese pronunciation: [ˈsɛdɾik]), is a Portuguese professional footballer who plays as a right-back for Premier League club Southampton and the Portugal national team.His career started with Sporting, going on to appear in 94 competitive games over the course of four Primeira Liga seasons and scoring two goals. He signed for Southampton in 2015.Having earned 72 caps across all youth levels, Cédric made his senior debut for Portugal in 2014. He appeared for the country at Euro 2016, winning the tournament.
