Basil Joseph (Malayalam: ബേസില് ജോസഫ്; born 28 April 1990) is an Indian film director, script writer and actor active in the Malayalam film industry.Basil completed his schooling from St. Joseph's Higher Secondary School Sulthan Bathery and S.K.M.J Higher Secondary School Kalpetta. He graduated in Electrical Engineering from College of Engineering, Trivandrum and worked as a Testing Engineer in banking software Finacle at Infosys, Trivandrum for two years before he ventured into filmmaking.In August 2017, he married his long time girlfriend and college-mate Elizabeth Samuel, with whom he was in a relationship for over seven years.
