Annegret Kramp-Karrenbauer (born 9 August 1962 in Völklingen) is a German politician of the CDU. Since 10 August 2011, she is the 7th Minister President of the Saarland. She is the first female head of government in the Saarland and the fourth woman to govern a German state. In 1998, she was a member of the Bundestag, the German federal parliament.Kramp-Karrenbauer is from a conservative Catholic family.
