Anna McMorrin

Anna McMorrin (born 1971) is a Welsh Labour Party politician. She has been the Member of Parliament (MP) for Cardiff North since 2017.McMorrin grew up near Brecon. Having already joined the Labour Party, she initially graduated from the University of Southampton in 1994 with a BA in French and Politics. In 1997, she graduated from Cardiff University, with a post-graduate diploma in journalism.After graduation, McMorrin worked in PR and communications. After working as a part-time communications officer for the Labour Party in 1996/7, she worked in public affairs consultancy for Hill and Knowlton. In 2006, she became campaigns and communications director for Friends of the Earth Cymru. In 2008 she joined the Welsh Government, becoming Specialist advisor to the Minister for natural Resources, Alun Davies. In 2014, she was moved from that position to another within the Welsh Government, before leaving to become a director Director of llais Ltd. In October 2016 she joined Invicta Public Affairs.
