Alan Conway (1934 – 5 December 1998) was an English conman, best known for impersonating film director Stanley Kubrick. Conway and his wife were travel agents with offices in Harrow, Muswell Hill and London.Alan Conway was born Eddie Alan Jablowsky in Whitechapel London in 1934. At the age of 12 he was sent to a borstal for theft. Around this time, he began frequently changing his name and inventing personal histories.
