The US president bought a variety of fast food for the Clemson Tigers football team, which won the college national championship.






WASHINGTON - President Donald Trump decided to treat a college football team to fast food at the White House but it's his typo in a tweet that is the talk of the town.

The president served the Clemson Tigers football team on Monday night with a large order from Burger King, McDonalds and Wendy's after they won the the college national championship last week.

Trump then tweeted about the event on Tuesday morning which included a typo of hamburgers.

“Because of the Shutdown I served them massive amounts of Fast Food (I paid), over 1000 hamberders etc. Within one hour, it was all gone. Great guys and big eaters!”

He later deleted the tweet but by then the damage was already done.










Burger King then decided to mock the president for the typo.

"due to a large order placed yesterday, we're all out of hamberders. just serving hamburgers today.", the company said in a tweet.










More than 800,000 public sector workers have been on mandatory leave or working without pay for more than two weeks as Trump fights with Congress over funding for the border wall.
