Former Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn has joined a National Education Union (NEU) picket line outside a sixth form college in north London. Speaking outside City and Islington College, Mr Corbyn told the PA news agency he is there to “support the students because of my concerns about under-funding by the Government to post-16 education”. He added: “But also to support the teachers in their perfectly reasonable demand for at least a cost-of-living pay increase."
