Liberal MP to back Morrison censure motion
about 2 years in news
Former prime minister Scott Morrison is facing a censure motion in parliament today, with Liberal MP Bridget Archer set to cross the floor to vote on it.
The censure motion - which the Labor Party is expected to put forward when parliament sits on Wednesday morning - formally condemns Mr Morrison for not revealing he had secretly sworn himself into five ministerial portfolios while in government.
“This is an issue that relates to democracy, that relates to the function of the institution and the parliament,” Ms Archer said.
