Sky News host Chris Kenny says the way Labor has been “fearmongering over climate change” the entire campaign trail is astonishing.

Mr Kenny said this was “not only the way politicians and political parties are willing to frighten people” but because they pretend a candidate can make Australia’s weather “more benign”.

“Never mind that there are hundreds of years of data and even photographs of Fort Denison that people like to point to, to consider just how dire – or not – the rising sea levels are in Sydney Harbour, these people still go with their fear and loathing,” he said.

“Who seriously believes that whatever is happening with our ever-shifting climate, for good or bad, who thinks some politician in Australia, even if they got to implement every idea they have ever had ... how are they going to actually change the climate?”
