Queenslanders will today enjoy a raft of eased restrictions after Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk announced rules would be lifted earlier than expected.

From 6:00am this morning restrictions on visits to hospitals, aged care and disability homes have been lifted and dancing at indoor venues will be permitted.

People will also be allowed to stand while eating or drinking at hospitality venues and stadium, cinema and theatre capacities have increased to 100 per cent.

Premier Annastacia has recommended using masks in areas where social distancing is not possible but masks have only been made mandatory at airports and on planes.
