Firefighters Tackle Blaze in Storm as Isaias Hits North Carolina

Firefighters attended multiple blazes in Ocean Isle Beach, North Carolina, as Storm Isaias hit the area on August 3. Horry SC Fire Rescue said that at approximately 11.40 pm, there were reports of multiple structure fires in the area. Storm Isaias made landfall as a hurricane in southern North Carolina, near Ocean Isle Beach, at around 11.10 pm, according to the National Hurricane Center. Ocean Isle Beach Mayor Debbie Smith told WECT News there were four fires on Driftwood Drive and another on East 4th Street.
