President Trump’s temperament is ‘not suited to the lockdown’

NSW One Nation Leader Mark Latham says President Donald Trump needs to shift the campaign towards the question of who is best placed to rebuild the economy, amid calls for the Trump campaign to reset.

Former Senior Adviser to President George W. Bush, Karl Rove, has suggested the President’s campaign needs to move in different direction especially when “you’re getting a lot of bad press and the polls are going against you”.

“You’ve got to do something that’s big and grabs the attention of the American people and says this is either a big new policy or a change in tone or direction,” Mr Rove said.

Mr Latham said one of the reasons President Trump does need a shift in direction and is down in the polls, is because his “temperament is not suited to the lockdown environment”.

“If there is a reset, it’s to ask that question who are you going to trust to rebuild the economy and get back to boom times Trump or Biden,” Mr Latham told Sky News host Paul Murray.

“The answer to that for swinging voters over there will be Trump.”
