The ABC lectures on political diversity yet it is itself ‘so incredibly white’

The Australian’s Gerard Henderson says the ABC is “incredibly white while it lectures on political diversity” to the rest of Australia.
“The real problem is a lack of general diversity in all areas in so many programs,” he said.
It comes as David Speers – the host of one of ABC’s flagship programs Insiders – issued an apology at the top of Sunday’s program for the lack of indigenous voices on the panel especially following the episode the week before where the panel discussed the Black Lives Matter movement.
Mr Henderson told Sky News host Andrew Bolt the ABC is “so white and then they’re lecturing us about political diversity, and they don’t practice it except at the lower level”.
“Everyone who’s got a high paying job at the ABC, virtually everyone is white, there’s no self-awareness there”.
Mr Bolt said all of the ABC’s main television presenters are white, all it’s main radio presenters are white, all it’s top managers are white, all it’s board members are white, so then “why is David Speers, the poor schmuck, having to carry the can for all these whites”.
