‘Defund Police’ Painted on Street Outside Wisconsin State Capitol

almost 4 years in cairnspost

Protesters in Madison, Wisconsin, painted "Defund Police” in huge yellow letters in front of the State Capitol on June 8. The letters were written along Martin Luther King Jr Boulevard, before the Capitol and between city municipal buildings. Video filmed by Sami Schalk shows the letters on the street, with the Wisconsin State Capitol building in the background. Another slogan in giant yellow letters, this time Black Lives Matter, was painted along a street near the White House a few days earlier as protests sparked by the death of George Floyd continued.
