The Black Lives Matter rally in Sydney’s CBD on Saturday, attracted a crowd of approximately 12,000 people.

Demonstrators stood in solidarity with the George Floyd protests in the United States and also called for justice for indigenous Australians and a reduction in the number of indigenous deaths in custody.

The largely peaceful official protest started at 3:00pm and finished at 5:00pm.

However, a small number of the protestors continued to demonstrate well past the official conclusion of the rally.
