Tara Reade scandal cause Democrats to backflip on slogan ‘believe all women’

Sky News host Rowan Dean says the response from the Left to the assault allegations laid against Democrat Presidential Candidate Joe Biden have been an utter “load of drivel”.

Two years ago President Donald Trump nominated a conservative judge Brett Kavanaugh to the supreme court, a decision which made him a target of the Left after Mr Kavanaugh was accused of sexual assault.

Sky News host Andrew Bolt said the allegation was “wildly improbable” but many journalists and politicians on the Left, including Joe Biden said “you’ve gotta believe the woman”.

However, all those people who said “believe women” when it was a conservative being accused, are not saying it now, he said.

To dodge the charge of hypocrisy, Susan Faludi has written an article in the New York Times which claims the right side of politics twisted the slogan ‘believe all women’ in such a way that the phrase ‘I believe her,’ became ‘believe all women’, Mr Bolt said.

Mr Dean said “the phrase ‘believe women’ means by definition ‘believe all women’”.

Mr Dean said Ms Faludi claimed “conservatives knew that one day there might be a woman who was lying so therefore they inserted the ‘all’ in order to be able to accuse people like her of hypocrisy”.
