Sky News host Paul Murray says it has become evident “slowly but surely we are getting the cold shoulder” from China amid calls for an independent COVID-19 inquiry. Trade Minister Simon Birmingham on Sunday confirmed a contact freeze between the Australian government and Chinese trade officials. Mr Murray said China is quite clearly “trying to dangle Australia as the bait” against other nations to highlight the extent of damage it can do to an economy.
