Herschel Junior Walker (born March 3, 1962) is an American diplomat and former professional football player who is the United States ambassador-designate to the Bahamas since 2025. A member of the Republican Party, he ran unsuccessfully as the party's nominee in the 2022 U.S. Senate election in Georgia.
