Al-Farouq Ajiede Aminu (born September 21, 1990) is a Nigerian-American professional basketball player for the Portland Trail Blazers of the National Basketball Association (NBA). He plays internationally with the Nigeria national basketball team. Aminu was selected by the Los Angeles Clippers in the 2010 NBA draft with the eighth overall pick.Aminu went to Norcross High School and was ranked as one of the top college recruits in the nation from the class of 2008.
